All our gates are handmade in a traditional style frame ledge and brace construction. We use tanalised 70mm x 45mm timber with a smooth finish. The face of the gate is clad with a 19mm x 100mm Tongue and Groove timber also with a smooth finish. All the timber in our handmade gates is treated with TANALITH E wood preservative which has over 20 years of proven performance around the world protecting wood against insect attack and wood decay in both in and out of ground applications. The unique formulation is based on copper and organic biocides, TANALITH E is applied in a controlled, high pressure industrial process and leaves the treated timbers with an initial natural pale green colouration that blends into any outdoor environment. Over time TANALITH E treated timbers slowly weather to a warm honey-brown colour and eventually to a natural silver grey. Our gates our fitted with high quality hinges, bolts and locks to meet the level of security you require.
